Robert "Bob" Howe

Robert Warren "Bob" Howe, 57, of Morrisville, MO passed away Saturday, September 10, in Springfield, MO. Bob was born March 7, 1959 to Charlie “Bud” and Betty Howe in Ava, Mo. Bob was described by those closest to him as a man’s man. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether that meant hunting, fishing, or playing baseball with his children. He was proud of his service to both his God and his country, and counted both as a blessing. Bob spent over 30 years with the Natural Resource and Conservation Service as the head of both Polk and Dallas County. He also served in both the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard, where he built friendships that would last his entire life. Of all of Bob’s service, he was most proud to do work at his home church, the United Methodist Church in Bolivar. Bob is preceded in death by his father, Charles Howe, and his mother, Betty Howe, as well as his sister, Beverly Merrill. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two brothers, Brian Howe and his wife Michelle of Anchorage, Ak. and Barton Howe of Camdenton, Mo.; a brother-in-law Paul Merrill. He is also survived by three children; Amy Carter and her husband Adam of Battlefield, MO., Calen Howe of Destin, Fl, Michael Howe of Morrisville, Mo., four step-children; Ryan Glendenning and his wife Linda of Springfield, Jennifer Ridinger and her husband Eric of Fair Grove, Stephanie Lee of Fair Grove, and Dixie Love and her husband Chris of Springfield. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Madalynn and Wyatt Carter, Anthony Glendenning, Connor, Aiden and Charlie Ridinger, and Kyle, Keagan, Caiden, Myles Cornelius, Rylee Love, as well as a host of friends and close ones. Services for Bob Howe will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Mo. at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held the two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Morrisville Cemetery under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, MO.
