OBITUARY KAY FRANCIS FAUSETT Kay Francis Fausett, age 65 of Bolivar, MO passed away at 9:15 PM Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar after a lengthy illness. Kay was born on May 26, 1941 in Warsaw, MO. She attended South East High School and Blue Springs High School. She also attended Rockhurst College for 2 years, and worked as a loan officer for many years. On January 9, 1959, Kay married Wilbur Rowland. To this union three children were born, Trace, Kathy and Travis. On December 30, 1985, she married Norman Fausett where they resided on their farm south of Halfway, MO for more than 20 years. Kay enjoyed golfing, travel, reading, cooking, crochet, needle point, and collecting antiques. Kay ran a successful appraisal business for many years and owned Community Mortgage of Southwest Missouri until 2002. Kay enjoyed helping people, her giving nature will be something that all who knew her will remember. Surviving is her mother, Lucille Settle of Oak Grove, MO; her daughter, Kathy Eriksson and husband Magnus of Durant, OK; her two sons, Travis Rowland and wife Christa of Bolivar, MO; and Trace Rowland and his fiance, Lisa Howell of Irving, TX; A step-son, Mark Fausett and wife Janet of Reston, VA; also three sisters, Charlotte Jayne of Blue Springs, MO; Donna Rice and husband Randy of Blue Springs, MO and Rebecca Smith of Independence, MO. Also her six grandchildren, Chad Rowland, Baylen Rowland, Emma Rowland, Katie Owens, Kassidy Owens, and Crystal Fausett. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 1:30 PM in the Butler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lyle Shaulis officiating. Musical selections will be "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace". Burial will be in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Casketbearers will be, Dale Settle, Grant Smith, Jim Sanders, Glen Means, Randy Rice, and Sam McElroy. Visitation will be held at the Butler Chapel from 12:30 PM Thursday till service time.
