Janice Willena Myers

Janice W. Myers, 89, of Humansville, MO., passed away peacefully Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. Jan was born in St. Clair County, Missouri the eldest of 6 children to Orville and Marie Keller. Jan graduated from Humansville High School and taught in 2 rural one-room school houses in St. Clair County. She was "swept off her feet" by the love of her life, James (Buck) Myers while he was home on leave from the military and they were later married on May, 5, 1945. Buck passed away in 1992. Jan and Buck moved to Rapid City, S. Dakota and raised their family. While visiting son Roger in the state of Washington Buck obtained employment with Boeing Aircraft. They moved to Washington in 1967 and resided in Everett for many years. In late fall of 2007 Janice moved back to Humansville to be near daughter Toni and son-in-law Steve and enjoyed family and friends from her youth. Jan's greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they adored her in return. She also enjoyed walks on the beach, reading, gardening, bird watching, games and puzzles. She was a member of the Shady Hill Club of Humansville. Jan is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James "Buck" Myers; son Roger J. Myers in 1986; brothers Billy and Lloyd Keller; sister Jeri Austin; brothers-in-law Earl Austin and Wayne Jenkins. She is survived by daughter Toni Robley and her husband Steven of Humansville; grandsons Shane and Shawn Robley; granddaughter Tresa Ahrns and husband Tony; great-grandsons Thadd, Jamie and Ziggy Robley; great-granddaughters Shayla and Summer Ahrns all of Washington; brother Leo Keller and his wife Reva of Collins; sister Shirley Jenkins of Stockton; sisters-in-law Kay and Shirley Keller of Humansville; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of Janice Myers life will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Murray Funeral Home in Humansville. Come and share and hear wonderful memories and stories of her life.
