Don Bauer

Kelly "Don" Bauer, 60, of Bolivar passed away in his home on Thursday, June 26, 2008 due to declining health. Don was born on November 13, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri, the oldest child of William "Kelly" and Mary Lee (Johnson) Bauer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee, his sister, Julie Bauer, and his father-in-law, Joe Tinsley. Don and Vonna Tinsley were married on August 29, 1987 at Rondo Baptist Church. While attending church at Rondo, Don accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized in Pomme de Terre Lake in 1989. Don was raised and attended school in Kansas City, but spent as much time as he could with his grandparents on their farm at Versailles, Missouri where he learned to hunt, fish, and ride horses. He found great pleasure in spending time with his family and friends, and especially loved the times he spent with, his brothers and nephews deer hunting, and taking his family on trail rides and camping. Don is survived by his wife, Vonna and their children, Courtney Bauer and Corey Bauer; his daughter, Stephanie Bauer, and four grandsons, Ryan, Cody, Joshua and Clayton Dugger of Peculiar, MO; his father, Kelly, of Kansas City, five brothers; Lloyd, Mike, Dennis, Leo and Daniel; two sisters; Merrie Miller and Laurie Rushing. Also surviving is his mother-in- law, Irene Tinsley of Humansville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, John and Jean Nelson of Dunnegan; Joe and Kathy DuBose of Bolivar; and close family friend, Sandy Pfeifer of Bolivar, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services will br Sunday, June 29,2008 at 2:00 PM at Murray Funeral Home in Bolivar with Rev. Ray Leininger and Rev. Billy Russell officiating with music provided by Joe Wooderson. Burial will be in Humansville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clint Wilson, Hoy Haley, Mike Lenz, John Nelson, Joe DuBose and Nathan Dubose. Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Bauer, Mike Bauer, Dennis Bauer, Leo Bauer, Daniel Bauer, Scott Bauer, Henry Bauer and Walter Bauer. Memorial contributions may be made to the CMH Hospice, 1500 N.
