Cassandra Lynne Harrison

It is with extreme joy and happiness, that I tell you that I have been reunited with my beautiful and loving wife, Cassandra Lynne Harrison (Curran) on the 26th of June, 2024 She jumped in my arms and gave me the most passionate kiss I have ever felt! That is right folks, Bob is back to write this touching obituary for my soulmate and my eternal wife. I know we said til death do us part on May 17th, 1968, but as we know that was not even close to long enough for the love we had to share with one another. I'm going to tell you the story of what I know of Cass from my perspective of a loving husband. Cass was born on September 4th, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas to Merle and Ruth Curran. Cass graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School with her high school crush from afar being none other than, THE Dr Phil. Cass and I have known each other, basically, our entire lives but became close when my brother Dennis married her sister Sharon. We spent a lot of time together and realized that we could not spend any more time apart. So I loaded her up like the Beverly Hillbillies and moved to Newberry Springs, California, where we married on May 17th, 1968. Cass gave birth to our first child, our handsome, chubby, little man, Vince Harrison, on September 15th, 1968 in Barstow California. Three short years later she gave birth to our 2nd and last child, our beautiful baby girl on August 12th, 1971, Tabitha Torgrude (Harrison) in Barstow California. We realized we had achieved perfection with this little girl so we knew for a fact we didn't have to try anymore. We had our two amazing children! Cass and I lived at 33033 Minneola Road for over 30 years. She provided a comfortable and fun loving home for myself and our children. She loved her friends, dogs, her pigs and her china dolls. The memories that were made in the desert will be ingrained in our heads for our earthly lives and our eternal lives. Upon my retirement from Southern California Edison, I promised Cass her dream home anywhere she wanted to go. She found her dream home in Humansville, Missouri in August of 1999, and we have spent every moment together in that house doing whatever Cass' little heart desired. I had to leave too early due to a nasty disease called ALS in November of 2008.She maintained her dream home and visited me on a weekly basis, if the weather permitted her access, until the day she joined me in eternity. She is now updating me on the last 16 years I have missed. Vince and Dorothy, Tabitha and Courtney, and our grandchildren Jordan, Miles, Cassie and Malissa. These 4 little turds brought us more joy than we could have ever imagined. From painting together, making clay figures and sitting around making up funny stories. She also told me that our 7 great grandchildren are doing fantastic. So we are going to sit on the front porch up here and keep an eye on you all. DO NOT be sad for us. We are in heaven together. We love you all. Cass loved flowers and Reese's peanut butter cups but she would prefer that you donate to the ALS foundation at www.als.org Give what you can to this foundation. So now that we have that out of our way Cass and I are going to go spend some "quality" time together (16 years has been a very long time) Services for Services for Cassandra will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Butler Funeral Home in Humansville starting at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held an hour prior starting at 1:00 P.M.
