Bruce Harvey Trammell

Bruce Harvey Trammell, age 68, of Bolivar, passed from his earthly home on July 1, 2026 at 2:40 P.M. into the presence of his Lord Jesus Christ and the splendor of his Heavenly Home. Bruce was born at Humansville, Missouri on January 15, 1958 to Charles “Bud” and Shirley Trammell. Bruce was a graduate of Bolivar High School, The School of the Ozarks in Point Look Out, Missouri, the Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green to further his degree in History, and then attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, receiving his degree in Law. Bruce was a regular farm boy, hauling hay, feeding cattle, and his chicken eggs were his “cash crop” until he left for college. His main chore was to do everything his little sister, Connie, told him to do. While in college, Bruce met and married a girl from South Arkansas, Karla Breeding, and they celebrated 35 years together before her passing in 2023. Bruce had the opportunity to work many jobs other than selling eggs. He was Captain of the Sammy Lane Tour Boats while in college in Branson, he drove a jeep load of tourists three times a day through Fantastic Caverns Cave near Springfield, drove an 18 wheeler from coast to coast across the United States, he became a Mason in 1978, conducting the Mason Funeral Ritual all over Southwest Missouri and sang at many of the services, He was also an ordained Methodist Minister. Bruce had only one sibling until 1993 when his parents adopted a little three year old brother for him and two sisters. Bruce became the world's best big brother. Bruce loved to travel, touring England, Canada, the Bahamas, and 44 of the 50 states. Bruce is preceded in death by his wife Karla, his father, Bud Trammell, sister Connie Lee. He is survived by his mother Shirley Trammell, brother Todd Trammel, sister Betty Winters, and her husband, Steve, and sister Robin Trammell. Also surviving are his special niece Mya Lee, nephew Cody and niece Leah Taylor and his Masonic brother, Ted and Cindi Wilzynski. Special music will be provided by Evan Ban-Oxtran on violin. Visitation will be held at Butler Funeral Home on Saturday the 11th from 9 to 10 A.M with services starting at 10. Funeral services will follow at Butler Funeral Home with Masonic Rites conducted by the Masonic Lodge of Springfield, Missouri. Private burial services at Dunnegan, Missouri Cemetery will follow.
