Brenda Sprague

Brenda Carol Sprague age 60 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning October 3rd in the quietness of her daughter and son-in-law’s home with her granddaughter RaShell Davis age 19 by her side. RaShell had often attended to patience with her Grandma when she was a home health aide and was working for private pay patience. Brenda's love, dedication, and nurture of her patience have so impacted RaShell that she is now caring for an alzheimer patient. Brenda was an inspiration to all of us. She lived a simple life dedicated to loving others and enjoying the little things in life that money couldn't buy. Among which included but were not limited to gardening, crafts, fishing, wood work, bird watching and star gazing. It is that very way of life and activities that all that she left behind love to enjoy. She held a love for her creator and enjoyed all he made for her to enjoy on the earth. She didn't complicate her faith but kept it simple and allowed her faith in his love for her to carry her through all the trials she had to face in life one day at a time. And there were many from the loss of a baby as a very young woman, to watching her adult children struggle with illness and relationships, to her own battles then her ultimate giant cancer. She fought like a warrior strong and brave never complaining only marching resting then marching on. Even though the giant of cancer took Brenda's life on earth it delivered her into everlasting life and never shook her faith in God’s love for her. Brenda wasn't one to verbally share her faith. But one thing is for sure it lives on in the hearts of her children and her grandchildren. She got her seeds planted. She passed on the keys to the kingdom in her own little ways. Brenda was proceeded in death by her husband Rocky Finnegan and their daughter Carol. Her husband Richard Summers her Father Smokey Sifford, mother Dortha Sherrick brothers Robert and glen Holt Sisters Carolyn and Judy Holt. Brenda left behind her brothers Denny and Rocky Sifford his wife Foxy her sisters Glenda Raines and her husband Gary sister Rita Gunter and husband Bill, two children, her son Rick Finnegan his wife Lilly and their children Donny Finnegan, Justin Finnegan, Shawn Finnegan, Haliey Finnegan ,and Nick Finnegan and a daughter Christina Hamby her husband Sean and their children Larence Davis, Jonathan Davis, Jessica Davis, RaShell Davis, Isaac Davis, Rebekah Davis, Dale Hamby, Caitlin Hamby, Nakia Hamby, great grandkids Damien and Alexandria Davis, Emily and Ella, and numerous other family members.
