Bobbie J Davis

October 16, 1924 - February 4, 2022

Bobbie J Davis, age 97 of Raytown, Missouri passed away Friday afternoon, February 4, 2022 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Bobbie was born to Joseph C. Davis and Anna (Josephine) Newland-Davis on October 16, 1924 in Eudora, MO. Bobbie married Eliene (Opal) Gorden on December 3, 1949 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They resided in Raytown, MO starting in 1955. Bobbie retired in 1988 from General Motors after 39 years. Bobbie served in the United States Marine Corps Aviation in World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Eliene, a twin brother Billie Davis, half-sister Nellie Schellhardt, two half-brothers Jerlie Baldwin and Gene Baldwin. Bobbie is survived by two sons, Rick Davis of Kelso, Washington and Randy Davis of Kansas City, Missouri, three grandchildren, Erin Christina and her husband Derek of Camas, Washington; Teresa Davis and her finance Venus of Beaverton, Oregon, and Jason Davis and his wife Staci DeLeon-Davis of Portland, Oregon; three great grandchildren, Emilia and Luca Christina of Camas, Washington, and Marcela DeLeon-Davis of Portland, Oregon, a sister-in-law Shirley Gorden of Springfield, Missouri, nephews Terry Davis of Bolivar, Missouri and Mark Davis of Springfield, Missouri, a niece Arlene Ankrom of Bolivar, Missouri. Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery with a visitation be held 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Butler Funeral Home, under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Rick Davis, Randy Davis, Jason Davis, Randy Ankrom, Terry Davis, and Mark Davis. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
