Victor Crone Shuler

Mr. Victor Bill Shuler, age 83 of Aldrich, MO passed away early Sunday Morning, Oct. 4, 2009 at his home. He was born on June 25, 1926 at Aldrich, MO, the son of George Lindsey Shuler and Lucile Genevive (Davis) Shuler. He married Dixie Dean McBride on June 12, 1948 in Fair Play, MO and to this union three children were born; two sons, Rick Shuler and wife Leslie and John Shuler and wife Marti all of Bolivar, MO; a daughter, Vickie George and husband Larry of Manhattan, KS. Bill was a lifetime member of the Aldrich Christian Church. He attended the Orleans School through the eighth grade and graduated from Marion C. Early High School. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corp and he was an active member of the Morrisville Lions Club. He was a retired dairy farmer, but he continued to grow a large garden and loved to share the fruits of his labor with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Dixie, his parents and one brother, Kelton Rodger Shuler. Surviving is his three children and their spouses, One brother Marsh Shuler and wife Peggy of Bolivar; and two sisters, Linda Gann and Elizabeth Bond and husband Junior of Springfield, MO and a special friend, Nina Kirkam. Also 8 Grandchildren Brian Kingsley and wife Ashley, Brad Kingsley, Kip George and wife Andra, Heather Ferguson and husband Andy, Craig Shuler and wife Trina, Jami Abel and husband Travis, Lindsey Shuler and Kelton Shuler. 6 Great Grandchildren Miles and Corrine Kingsley, Stone Ferguson, Kirsten and Kinzi Shuler, and Tallon Abel. Bill also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of many friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 1:30 PM in the Butler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe L. Coppedge officiating. Music will be by the Missionaires with Barbara Swadley as the Pianist. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery SW of Aldrich under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Casketbearers will be his 8 grandchildren with Honorary Casketbearers, Larry George, Frank Artz, Donald Mitchell, Bill Dryer, Wayne Mitchell and Donald Creed.
