Sybil Lois Wright

Sybil Lois Wright, age 87, of Morrisville, Missouri passed away at 4:40pm, on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Christian Healthcare Center in Republic, Missouri after a long illness. She was born April 14, 1921 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, the daughter of Steamboat McGrew and Lilly Clemons McGrew. She attended school at Webbers Falls, Oklahoma graduating in May of 1938. On June 4, 1938 she married her high school sweetheart, Jack L. Wright. She was a member of the Morrisville Assembly Of God Church in Morrisville, Missouri. She loved her God, family, and home. She was a stay at home mom, wife, chauffeur, doctor and nurse. She once said she went to school four times, counting her time and helping the children with homework. Many times her children would come home from dates and lay on the bed with mom, telling all about their evening, until mom would make them go to bed. Sybil was preceded in death by her stillborn infant son, Kenneth Paul Wright, her son, James Wright in 1983 at the age of 42, two grandsons; Scotty McClearen and Ricky McClearen, a granddaughter, Beverly Lynn Duty, two brothers, Clarence McGrew and Riley McGrew, two sisters, Willie Cox and Nevia Keith. Sybil is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jack L. Wright of the home, two daughters, Janice Wilson and her husband Les of Deepwater, Missouri, Beverly McClearen and her husband Dick of Pryor, Oklahoma, a son, Jack L. Wright and his wife Becki of Battlefield, Missouri, a brother, Loria McGrew and his wife Gertrude of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Randy Urich and Reverend John Bock officiating. A reading will be by Molly Wright. Musical selections will be "Precious Memories", "Heaven Will Be Worth It All" and "Great Reunion Day" by Lavonna Franklin with Irma Delzell playing the piano. Pallbearers will be Justin Wright, Miles Wright, Ken Duty, Josh Duty, Jamie McClearen and Sean Duty. Visitation will be from 1-2pm on Sunday prior to service time at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma with Reverend Wendell Cox officiating.
