SHARON ELAINE JOHNSON Sharon Elaine Johnson, age 66, passed away at 1:31 AM Monday, August 6, 2007 at the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. She was born on July 24, 1941 in Greene County, Missouri the daughter of Charles G. Mosley and Dorothy M. Carter Mosley. Sharon attended the Pleasant View Elementary School and a graduate of Pleasant Hope High School. She also attended Draughn's Business College in Springfield. Sharon met Fred Johnson in 1954 and was married in 1960. To this union 4 children were born. She accepted Christ at an early age at Pleasant Valley Church in Greene County and attended church faithfully and helped out at church throughout her adult life. She was currently a member of the Spring Hill Baptist Church in northern Greene County. She worked at Union National Bank in Springfield, MO; and later years worked for the Dairy Herd Improvement Association as a lab technician. She also worked for Polk County Soil & Water District. And her last 8 years she was employed at Bill Grant Ford-Mercury as a bookkeeper. She was most content milking cows and working with Fred on their farm. She greatly enjoyed activities with her 7 grandchildren, playing cards, riding 4-wheelers, wiener roasts at the river, and playing in the snow. She was an avid reader and enjoyed attending the sports activities of her grandchildren. Sharon also enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren participate in tractor pulls around the area. She was preceded in death by her parents, one baby daughter, Glenda Sue and a grandson Zachary Johnson. Surviving is her husband Fred Johnson of the home, a daughter, Anita Lynn and her husband Shannon of Bolivar; two sons, Kevin Johnson and his wife Susan of Marshfield, MO; and Aaron Johnson and his wife Teresa of Springfield, MO; also a brother, Bob Mosley and his wife Sharon of Clever and 7 grandchildren, Shayna & Shyann Johnson, Chester Blackington, Kyle, Dalton and Devin Johnson and Wyatt Lynn. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, Aug. 8, 2007 from 6-8 PM at the Spring Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the Spring Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Smith and Rev. Dave Meyers officiating. Musical soloist will be Micki Roy. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hope cemetery under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Casketbearers will be Jerrell Wilson, Sam Hawk, Don Burchell, Terry Altic, Carl Holman, and David Durr. Honorary Casketbearers will be Don Greene, DeWayne Burdette, Charlie Stokes, Tracy Self, Bob Haley and Elza Martin.
