Colin Sean Mossman

Mr. Colin Sean Mossman, age 43 of Bolivar, Mo died at 11:37 AM on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. He was born on February 20, 1967 in Kansas City, MO the son of Marsha Jeanne (Bowen) Mossman and Ronald Dean Mossman. Colin was a Landscape Contractor. He enjoyed being with his children, sailing, ocean fishing and the outdoors. He would light up any conversation with intellect and wit. Colin was a very creative landscape designer for many upscale installations in Missouri and the Florida Keys. Colin was a leader on any construction project using humor and fun to finish even the hardest jobs. He had been teaching Anatomy and Physiology for over a year and he loved it more than any work he had ever done. He worked with many wonderful friends. Colin will always be much loved by his extended step-family and remembered as a big-hearted, lively debater, interested in most anything and knowledgeable of the same. A particularly cherished memory was a cross-country road trip to California in Colins grandfathers Chevy pickup. Upon arrival, and learning that the family next door had 12 people crammed into a one-room apartment and little money, Colin picked up a weeks worth of food for the family and dropped it off. He didnt want a thing in return, but knew a tough situation when he saw it and was quick to help out, that was Colin. His children meant the world to him and he coached and guided them with his wisdom and love. He will be so missed by his family and many friends. Surviving are his Children, his daughter Shelby Mossman and his son, Gage Mossman both of Bolivar; his mother and step-father Marsha J. Bliven and husband Jak of Dunnellon, FL; his father, Ronald Dean Mossman of Bolivar, MO; the mother of his children, Trish Ankrom and husband Charley of Bolivar; his sister Selena Patty of Gainesville, FL; his Maternal Grandmother Ruby Bowen of Dunnellon, FL; two nephews, Nicholas Davis of Bolivar and Richard Davis of Afghanistan, a aunt and uncle, Curtis & Joan Bowen of Dunnellon, Florida, a host of other relatives and many friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home Chapel.
