Richard 'Bob' G. Jump

Mr. Richard Bob Guy Jump, Sr., age 80 of Bolivar, passed away at 1:25 PM on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri. He was born in Bolivar, Missouri on November 3, 1929 the son of Alfred Leonard Jump and Inez Fair (Hutchison) Jump. Bob married Gloria Tuck on November 17, 1951 in Humansville, Missouri. Bob was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bolivar and was a United States Navy Veteran serving on the USS Missouri during the Korean Conflict. He was a tree trimmer, service station owner and operator, and a truck driver. He worked for the Joe Rayl Oil Company in Bolivar, Getty Oil and retired from the Texaco Oil Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Inez Jump, an infant son, Mark Wayne Jump, brothers, Marion E. Jump, Lee A. Jump, William J. (W.J.) Jump, Alfred (Sonny) Jump, and a sister, Marcella Vandergrift. Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria of the home, three sons, Richard Jump, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Omaha, Nebraska, Garry Jump and his wife Karen of Bolivar, Missouri, Rex Jump and his wife Felicia of Bolivar, Missouri, two daughters, Marilyn J. Madden of Overland Park, Kansas, Beverly Wilson of Bolivar, Missouri, two sisters, Frances Pearl Jump of Laurie, Missouri, Willa Mae Brewster of Tucson, Arizona, eleven grandchildren, Shannon Jump, Lindsay Jump, Farin Jump, Jeremy Madden, Cory Madden, Lauren Madden, Carl Morgan, Josh Morgan, Brittany Blair, Reece Jump and Stephanie Rountree, ten great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri with Rev. Norman Howell officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. Musical soloist will be Karen Howell. Military Honors will be conducted by the Fifth District Honor Guard of the American Veterans AMVETS Post 114, Flemington, Missouri and the U. S. Navy Missouri Honors Team. A guest book will be available to sign between 8am to 5pm from March 16th thru March 19th at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
