R. C. Routh

Roy Charles RC Routh was born in Cedar County, Missouri on September 17, 1931. He was the third child of Raymond and Marie Routh. He left this world on April 19, 2010, after a stay at Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, Missouri. RC and Marjorie Martin were united in marriage on October 25, 1951 in Stevenson, Washington. They had a 58-year marriage filled with love. RC was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean War from June 1952 through May 1954. He was baptized at a very young age into the Baptist Church. RC is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of the home; two sons James Routh and wife Sandra and Gary Routh and wife Paula, all of Humansville, Missouri. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kelly Routh of Bolivar, Missouri; Jamie Routh and wife Julie of Bolivar, Missouri; Angela Driscoll and husband Richard of Stockton, Missouri; Travis Routh of Bolivar, Missouri; Neil Routh of Humansville, Missouri; and Lyndie Routh of Humansville, Missouri. He also leaves behind two great grandchildren, Kilari McWilliams and KaRon McCord, both of Bolivar, Missouri. RC is also survived by brothers Billy Routh and his wife Rosa Lee of Lee s Summit, Missouri; Raymond Jr. Routh of Humansville, Missouri; and Jerry Routh of Springfield, Missouri. Surviving sisters include Dorothy Haling of Humansville, Missouri; Shirley Davis and her husband Bill of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Joyce Gillespie of Kouts, Indiana; and Sue Henry of Jay, Oklahoma. He was also survived by a host of relatives and friends. RC was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Marie Routh; brothers-in-law Donald Haling, Charles Gillespie, and Monte Henry; and sister-in-law Anna Routh. RC was very active throughout his life. While in school he played softball and basketball for the Humansville Tigers. He was a coach for his sons sports teams while they were growing up. He was an avid fan of his grandchildren and enjoyed watching their sports activities. RC was a friend to all and loved life. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Humansville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Humansville Cemetery under the direction of Murray Funeral Home, Humansville. PDF Printable Version
