Mickel G. (Mike) Keller

Mickel George Keller, 67, Flemington, Missouri died April 9, 2008 at his home. He was born in Humansville May 11, 1940. His grandmother, Cora Nelson, mother, Mary Belle Keller, brother, Arnold Keller, and infant step-granddaughter, Sadie Tenpenny, preceded him in death. Mike is survived by his wife, Sandra Keller, Grandview, sons, Robert D. Keller and wife, Susan, Wadesville, Indiana, and Kevin Leon Keller, Las Vegas, Nevada; step-sons, Chris Miller and Bill Miller and wife, Tammy; step-daughter, Terry Lynn Tenpenny and husband, Kevin; grandchildren Robert Dean II and Lindsey Renee Keller, Nathan Carlyle and Hannah Mae Keller, Nathan and Anna Miller, Tanner and Sydney Tenpenny and Christopher, Geoffrey, Abigail, Reece and Zachary Miller; two sweet great-grandchildren, Hayden Keller and Kaelin Keller; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Keller, Flemington; and Robert and Kevin s mother, Karen Kay Rains, Las Vegas, Nevada. Mike worked for 40 years at Sealrite Co., a major paper products company in the Kansas City area, and eventually retired as head production foreman. After retirement, Mike returned to his hometown area of Flemington and for a while lived on the shores of Lake Pomme de Terre. In the winter he liked to head south to Brownsville, Texas with his beloved dog, Mitzie, to escape the chilly winter weather and then return home to Flemington where he could catch up on the lives he left behind. Mike was a very kind, considerate and caring man who was admired and loved by all who knew him. He would go out of his way to simply catch a person s glimpse and give them a Hiddy not a hello or howdy, though they meant the same, that was important to him. He volunteered many hours in and around the town of Flemington to make better the lives of all those who lived there. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Murray Funeral Home, Humansville with Rev. Jack Sawyers officiating. Music will be by Robert D. Keller II. Pallbearers will be Brian E. Rains, James A. Keller, Michael W. Keller, William K. Keller, Brandon R. Keller and Ryan Keller. Interment will be in Flemington Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
