Margaret Cornell Sullivan

Margaret A. Cornell Sullivan, age 78 years, 10 months, and 22 days of age, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at her home after a 21 year battle with cancer. Margaret was born on December 20, 1928 in Cedar County, Missouri to Everett and Ruth Owen Price. On August 29, 1948 she married Paul Cornell of Aldrich, MO. They moved to Idaho where their two sons were born, Terry Kent and Paul DeLen. They lived in Idaho 12 years before moving back to Missouri in 1961. Paul passed away on July 11, 1988. She married Harlan Hopkins on December 16, 1991. Harland passed away on May 7, 1994. On November 25, 1996 Margaret married Willard Sullivan who survives her. Margaret worked at a lot of different jobs in her lifetime. She helped Paul in the Seed Business several years. Her last work was being a Tax Accountant. She owned her own business office. She retired in 2001. Proceeding her in death besides her two husbands were her father, mother, and her brother James, and two infant twin grandsons. Margaret was saved in a brush shed meeting when she was 11 years old. She joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cedar County. At the time of her death she belonged to Southside Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivar, MO. She is survived by her husband, Willard of the home, her sons, Terry and his wife Zana of Bolivar, MO., and Paul D. and his wife Becca of Clinton, MO., one step-son, Doyle Sullivan of Kansas City, MO., her sister, Marjorie East and her husband Joe of Springfield, MO., her uncle, Ralph Owen of Victorville, CA., 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, 3 sister-in-laws, Ora Lee Cornell of Fair Play, MO., Joann Cornell and Marjorie Cornell both of Bolivar, MO., several nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Southside Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivar, MO. with Bro. Jackie Brakebill and Bro. Mike Bruce officiating under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home. Musical selections will be "Peace In The Valley", "He'll Understand and Say Well Done" and "I'll Be Waiting" sung by Shannon Vahle with Dixie Barber as the pianist. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Aldrich, MO. Pallbearers will be Jason Cornell, Casey Cornell, Shannon Vahle, Eugene Owen, Joe Cornell and Albert Cornell. Visitation will be from 6-7pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2007at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO.
