Lois Lightfoot

Anna Lois Lightfoot, age 91 of Humansville, Missouri was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 28, 2010. Lois was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church. She was the daughter of George and Gladys (Bruce) Liptrap, born May 22, 1919 near North Platte, Nebraska. Lois was united in marriage to Georgie Lee Lightfoot on February 26, 1938. Three children blessed this union Alvin Lee, Deloris Pauline, and Sharon Kay. Georgie preceded her in death on October 1, 1978, Also proceeding her in death were her parents; son: Alvin Lee; granddaughter: Tammy Lucille; two brothers: Thomas and George (Bud); five sisters: Erma, Beverly, Alice, Jackie, and Hattie. Anna Lois Lightfoot is survived by two daughters: Deloris Pauline and husband Roy Locke, and Sharon Kay and husband James Foster; Eight grandchildren: Anthony, Lonnie, Christopher, Jeanette, Leslie, Roy Allen, Brent, and Alisha; Ten great-grandchildren: David, Tanner, Elizabeth, Nick, David Michael, KC, Marcus, Tammy, Kayla and Austin, one sister: Martha who resides in California and a host of nieces and nephews. Lois was a wonderful mother to her three children. She instilled in them her morals and values of faith, honesty, and hard work. She was influential in the lives of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as a multitude of others. She always had an open door and an open heart for those in need. Lois enjoyed listening to others and sharing her life experiences. It was through this compassion for others that she was able to flourish with a 27 year career as a CNA. Her CNA career took flight in 1958 at Big Springs Nursing Home in Humansville. All that knew Lois know that she was exceptionally accomplished in her various crafts. Each of her projects was assembled with the most meticulous of efforts. Each stitch tells its own story and holds within it her own token of love. Her family and friends will have these precious mementoes that will be enjoyed and admired for many generations to come. With the passing of these mementoes through the generations of time Lois' life work and tokens of her love and compassion will endure. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 1, 2010 at Murray Funeral Home, Humansville with Blanche Truedell officiating. Interment will be in Humansville Cemetery.
