Juanteece Cossins

Juanteece Cossins, 75, of Fair Play passed away at her residence January 20, 2013. "This is the day God has come for me, what a glorious day it is! I, Janice Juanteece Cossins, was born to Byron and Fern Davis Taylor on July 6, 1937 in Bear Creek, Missouri in Cedar County which is now covered by the waters of Stockton Lake. I was raised on top of the hill in Aldrich, Missouri where I went to the Aldrich School until the school moved to join Fair Play Schools where I graduated. I was lucky to marry the man of my dreams. Charles Eugene Cossins was so handsome and was everything I ever wanted. We married on July 12, 1956 and had a beautiful 55 years together. God took Charles home to Heaven on February 1, 2012 after a battle with pneumonia. I was left with a broken heart, but a family that loved me, supported me, and cared for me. Charles and I were blessed with a son, Kelly Earlgene, on March 28, 1963. As with all children he brought triumps and joy, hurdles and worry. Kelly left this world for his Heavenly home on February 6, 2010. Throughout my life I was richly blessed with a loving family, many lifelong friends, a wonderful church family and a forgiving God. Oh, how I loved to go places with Charles, be it the grocery store, movies, out to eat, or to church. We needed nothing expensive or fancy. We only needed each other to have fun. And fun we had! After Charles passed I loved to travel on day trips with my sisters. We would laugh and cry, but always knew how much we loved each other. Cooking was a passion for me. I truly enjoyed it and giving to others. I would always make extra to share. I loved seeing a friend or family at my door and always had something to share to eat and a cup of good coffee. As happy as I am to see my parents, loving husband, Charles, our son Kelly, my grandparents, brother, nephew and many friends in Heaven, I had to leave many loved ones here on earth. I know you are saddened but I am rejoicing in Heaven waiting on you to join me and the others. Please do not grieve, rejoice as I am the special one sitting at the throne. To my siblings Juanetta, Juanita and Terry, Davis and Jean, Reggie and Sue, JuanaVae and Mike, Lindsay and Diana, I leave knowing you will be okay until we meet again. I tried to teach you right from wrong. I know you know. Kevin, Kent, Kim, Brad, Rodney, Denna, Dusty, Tiffany and Tara, my nieces and nephews, you are so special to me, like my own grandchildren. I love you so much. Always remember to do right and remember how proud I am of you. Some of you have wonderful children of your own now and I love them just as I do you. Teach them the values you have been taught yourself. Now to my special little boys, Mason, Rowdy and Bryson, you brought so much joy to me! I looked so forward to your many visits. We had so much fun playing, reading and eating, even hot dog gravy. I will watch you grow from my place in Heaven and I want you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and I will have a place beside me in Heaven just for you. To all my many, many friends, especially Nancy, Dave and to all of the others, do not grieve, but remember our many joys we shared, the memories we made and the love and laughter we shared." Funeral services for Juanteece Cossins will be held 1 PM Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Aldrich Methodist Church with burial to follow at the Shady Grove Cemetery.
