Janice Gaile Mincks

Janice Gaile Mincks, 72, of Humansville passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 16, 1942 in Weaubleau, Missouri to Cecil and Verna Jenkins. Upon graduating from Humansville High School as a member of the Class of 1960 she married Lon Chaney that same year and to this union was born children Patty, Bob, Dale and Jimmy. Early in life she worked as a seamstress at the Bolivar Garment Factory for 20 years, then she worked as a waitress and helped on the family farm. She never met a stranger and enjoyed working with people. She loved going to garage sales and auctions. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. After her husband Lon passed away she later married Paul Mincks on July 21, 2002. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lon; brother Wayne Jenkins; step-children Jean Ann Neyol, Donnie Mincks, and Paul David Mincks. She is survived by her husband Paul of the home; daughter Patty Bacon and her husband Charlie of Miller, Missouri; sons Bob Chaney and his wife Denise of Flemington, Dale Chaney and friend Debby Perry of Vista, Missouri, Jim Chaney and his wife Melissa of Humansville; step-children Billy Mincks of California, Cindy Fry and her husband Leon of Dunnegan, Dale Mincks of California; sister Sharon Truitt and her husband Jackie of Bolivar; brothers Tommy Jenkins and his wife Norma of Dunnegan, Deryll Jenkins and his wife Lachelle of Bolivar; sister-in-law Shirley Jenkins of Stockton; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all! Funeral services for Janice Mincks will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Murray Funeral Home in Humansville with Rev. Norman Culbertson officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Durnell Chapel Cemetery near Flemington with Adam Dalton, Nick Lockhart, Derek Chaney, Ryan Chaney, Bryan Chaney, Logan Chaney and Landon Chaney serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are John Bobinmyer, Johnnie Buntin, David Bridges, Ernie Fanning and Jackie Truitt. Visitation will be held from 1 -2 PM Sunday prior to the service.
