James (Jim) Reynold Nobles

James ( Jim) Reynold Nobles, Jr., age 76 of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. He was born February 1, 1934 in Star City, Arkansas to James Reynold Nobles, Sr. and Merle (Dishongh) Nobles. Jim received a Bachelors Degree in Animal Husbandry from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas and was a member of the Phi-Kappa-Alpha. He met the love of his life at college and later married Glynda Lee Flowers on August 31, 1957 at the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era from 1954-1962. He worked for the Ralston-Purina Company for ten years. He then worked for 26 years at the Cargill Company and served as the District Sales Manager for 22 years prior to his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Springdale, Arkansas and was faithfully attending the United Methodist Church in Bolivar, Missouri as his health permitted. His parents, James and Merle Nobles, and his son, James Reynold Nobles, III who passed away in 2002, preceded him in death. Jim is survived by his wife, Glynda Lee Nobles of the home, three daughters, Kimberly Ann Stanek and her husband Thomas of Bolivar, Missouri, Susan Renee McMillen of Bolivar, Missouri, Nicole Dawn Logan of Prospect, Nova Scotia, Canada, five grandchildren, James Seth Nobles of Springdale, Arkansas, Tanner McMillen of Bolivar, Missouri, Jordan Stanek of Springfield, Missouri, Trenton Stanek of Bolivar, Missouri, Anna Lee Logan of Prospect, Nova Scotia, Canada, and one great granddaughter, Carlei Nobles of Springdale, Arkansas. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Bolivar, Missouri with the Reverend Jake Lindsey and Reverend Dan Adkison officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selection will be Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art sung by Cheryl Bowers, and two congregational hymns In The Garden and The Old Rugged Cross. Marjorie VanVranken will be playing the piano. The United States Army, Missouri Military Honors Bravo Team of Springfield, Missouri, will provide flag folding and presentation with the playing of Taps following the memorial service. Burial will take place at a future date in Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob McBride, Joe Price, Jim Gilmore, Gary Peevy, Sam Jolly, Jim Pierce, Carroll Bubba Mosley and Jake Lindsey. February 1, 1934 - March 16, 2010
