Faril Woods

FARIL WOODS December 14, 1942 – March 17, 2014 Mr. Woods, Flemington, MO, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 17, 2014 at the Parkview HealthCare,with family spending everyday this last month at his side. He was born at home in Ryan's Holler, AR, the twin-son of Albert Woods and Nola Mattox-Woods-Jones & the 9th child of 10. His parents, twin and all but 2 sisters, have preceded him in death. He went to school in Omaha, AR, at age 16 moved to KCMO, then Dunnegan in 1969. He was in construction in KCMO and an OTR Truck Driver, for numerous companies and an owner-operator. In the 70's, Faril and his brothers had a store in Collins. An avid coon hunter, he raised prized World Champion English Red-Tick Dogs. Faril started the Humansville Coon Hunters Association. He loved hunting and fishing. His last 4-legged love is Lottie, our English Bull Dog, who chose him and was faithful to his side. Faril experienced Jesus, was saved, baptized and a member of Rondo Baptist Church. He is survived by: His wife of 34 years, Linda, great-grandchildren, Jade and Jordan Stillwell, all of the home, in Flemington, MO. His Children (of his first marriage to Mary Lewis), Daughter Carol and husband Dennis Shoemaker of Humansville, MO, Son, Wm. “Billy” and wife Darla Woods and, daughter, Sherl Woods Hamlet of Springfield, MO. Step-children Debbie & husband Kenny Wilkerson, & Linda Stillwell, all of Flemington, Donna & husband, Gary Parke of Humansville, Donald Stillwell, Jr & companion Penny of Tulsa, OK, Jerry & wife, Denise Oldham of Lee’s Summit and Larry Oldham of Brighton, MO, sisters Gussie Goodnight & Mearle Studivan of AR and 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, with 7 great on the way and 1 great-great due in July, numerous other Family and friends. Pallbearers: David Shoemaker, Patrick Woods, Shawn Wedge, Shawn Baker, Eric Greig, Travis Hughes, Honorary Pallbearers: Misty Greig, Aubri Shoemaker, Makayla Hamlett, Tasha Wedge & Katie Schmied. Arrangements have been entrusted to Murray Funeral Home, Humansville, A family visitation on Friday, March 21st from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral with a service to be held at The Rondo Baptist Church, Rondo, MO on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Trent Roseman and inurnment at Rondo Cemetery, at a later date.Online condolences may be submitted at www.murrayfuneralhomes.com.
