Edward Joe Dill

Edward Joe Dill, Sr., age 62, passed away Friday, April 24th, 2015 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. Edward was born on March 11th, 1953 to Eddus Ewell and Betty Jo Dill in Wichita, Kansas and eventually moved to Indianola, Iowa, as a young boy with his family. In 1982, Edward, his wife Coleen and four children moved to Stuart, Iowa then later, in 1986 he and his family, moved to Willard/Morrisville, Missouri area. Edward was an auto body repair man by trade. He began working with his dad at a young age and eventually owned his own business for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring old cars, his all time favorite being Pontiac GTO's. Along with restoring old cars, he loved the hunt for them, driving many miles, searching for familiar taillights sticking out from behind an old barn or garage and then almost driving off the road in the process of getting back to it. Edward was preceded in death by his son, EJ Dill of Morrisville, Missouri; father, Eddus Ewell Dill; mother-in-law and father-in-law Russell and Olive Sinclair, all of Indianola, Iowa. He is survived by mother Betty Dill of Springfield, Missouri; wife Coleen Dill, Bolivar, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law Luke and Shelia Murphy, Menlo, Iowa, daughter and son-in-law Scott and Tammy Grant, Morrisville, Missouri, daughter and son-in-law Russ and Vikki Hanks, Bolivar, Missouri. Edward is also survived by grandchildren Jesika Wahlert and TJ Wahlert, Dexter, Iowa, Travis Wahlert, Oskaloosa, Iowa, Hillary Manning along with her husband Trent, of Morrisville, Missouri, Madison Grant and Hadden Grant, Morrisville, Missouri, Dillan Dill, Morrisville, Missouri, Chinna, Shyanne and RJ Hanks of Bolivar, Missouri; great-grandchildren Adrian and Ashton Stonehocker, Dexter, Iowa, Imy Manning, Morrisville, Missouri and Kooper Hanks, Bolivar, Missouri; sister and brother-in-law Montie and Sue Norris, Springfield, Missouri, sisters Rhonda Mosley and Lisa Benson, both of Springfield, Missouri. Edward is also a loving uncle, cousin, and nephew to many. Funeral Services for Edward Joe Dill, Sr. will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015, at Murray Funeral Home in Bolivar officiated by Rev. Randy Urich with burial following in Morrisville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 at the funeral home.
