Debbie Lynn Storrie

Debbie Lynn Storrie, age 48 of Bolivar, passed away Wednesday evening, August 12, 2009 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Missouri Highway 123, 1 / miles north of the Hickory-Polk County Line. Debbie was born on August 30, 1960 in Imperial, NE the daughter of Marvin Lavern Hogsett and Helen Louise (Durnell) Hogsett. She spent the first years of her childhood on a farm near Holyoke, CO until moving with her family back to the family farm near Weaubleau, MO. She was a graduate of Weaubleau High School. She was united in marriage to Christopher J. Bridgford in January, 1979 and to this union two children were born, Jayson and Christina. Debbie worked for Pennsylvania National in Kansas City, MO for several years before moving to Billings, MO. For the last 11 years she worked as the Payroll Supervisor for O & S Trucking Company in Springfield, MO. She married Charles L. Storrie, Jr. in August 2001. Debbie was a water baby and loved to spend free time sailing with her husband Charles on the lakes in Missouri as well as offshore Florida and in the Gulf Of Mexico. She enjoyed paddling and camping our rivers and streams. She was an avid fisher and hunter and was famous around the family farm for her "one shot, two deer" kill. Debbie loved her family and was especially devoted to her Mother Helen Hogsett and her granddaughter, Vivian McKee. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Lavern Hogsett in 2002. She was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Bolivar. Surviving is her husband Charles Storrie, Jr. of the couples home in Bolivar. Her Mother, Helen Hogsett of Weaubleau, MO; her son, Jayson Joseph Bridgford of Billings, MO; her daughter Christina Bridgford of Aurora, MO; two brothers, Keith Lavern Hogsett and wife Jane of Ft. Scott, KS and Eugene Elva Hogsett and wife Delsey of Weaubleau, MO. Also two granddaughters, Kelsey William Bridgford and Vivian Lynn McKee A visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 noon at the Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Bolivar. Graveside Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at the Durnell Chapel Cemetery north of Flemington in Hickory County. Speakers will be Jim O'Neal and Charles Storrie, Jr. Musical selections were some of Debbie's favorites; "She's Got A Way" by Billy Joel; "Lost Without Your Love" by Bread; "Shower The People" by James Taylor; "My Sweet Lady" by John Denver. Burial will be under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Casketbearers will be Flint Nickle, Keith Hogsett Jayson Bridgford, Anthony Storie, Charles Storrie III, David Storrie.
