Chelsea Raine Walker

Chelsea Raine Walker, age 17 of Bolivar, was born on July 25, 1990 in the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. She moved to Heaven on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:55 AM in the Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Chelsea started school at Hermitage, MO before moving to Belton, MO, where she attended through her sophomore year. She was active in dance and cheerleading, being on the Junior Varsity and Varsity Squads, where last year her squad won 3rd in State Competition. Chelsea moved to Bolivar this summer and was active as a junior at Bolivar High School, being a member of Future Community and Career Leaders of America, Health Occupations, and a Varsity Cheerleader. She was saved and baptized at Galmey Community Church as a child and active in the Bolivar Assembly Of God Church in Destiny Youth and Youth and Adult Choirs. Chelsea loved to go shopping, cell-phone texting her friends and hunting and fishing. She killed a 7-point deer last year. Her desire was to go into the health fields, possibly becoming a nurse or anesthetist. Surviving are her parents, Greg and Myrna Walker of Bolivar; Cheryl and John Bastion of Harrisonville, MO; her sister, Autumn Walker, age 14,of Bolivar; two brothers, Dustin Walker, age 10, of Bolivar and Aaron Alquist, age 22, of Harrisonville, MO; her grandparents, Casey and Barbara Walker of Fair Play, MO; Marlene and Gerald Wilson of Hermitage, MO; Martha Hite of Bolivar, MO; Jim & Sue Wilson of Preston, MO; Chester and Beverly Bastion of Wheatland, MO; and Harold and Wilma Davis of Hermitage, MO. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 1:30 PM in the First Assembly Of God Church in Bolivar with Rev. Gary Ankrom and Rev. Rick Walters officiating. Musical selections will be Amazing Grace(My Chains Are Gone)" by Chad Mayne, Amazing Love by Malinda Batten, Good-Bye For Now and Wish You Were Here by Malinda Batten, Jackie Hitchcock and Penny Brandt. Greg Ankrom, Russ Batten and Roger Hendrickson, Accompanists. A video tribute to Chelsea will be by Jim Richards. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Casketbearers will be Jake Jacobson, Broc VanTassell, Kyle Ray, Payton Cribbs, Aaron Alquist, Curtis Bastion, Jarred Smedley and Drew Hoy. Honorary Casketbearers will be Nicholas Haines, Brandon Moore, and the Bolivar High School Varsity Cheerleaders, Haley Carey, Ashley Eagan, Chelsea Hoops, Sami Ikerd, Lindsay Kelley, Martisha Manes, Megan Murray, Mackenzi Shaffner, Bailey Shaw, Lexi Tice and Heather Williams. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 from 6-8 PM in the Butler Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chelsea Walker Teen Health Education Fund at Bolivar High School.
