Charles Cossins

Charles E. Cossins, 78, was born to Leonard and Madge (Brines) Cossins on November 29,1933, near the "old Morrisville Station", Morrisville Missouri, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 7:53 PM at St. Johns Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, with his family by his side. His amazing ascension to Heaven was a testimony to his strong relationship with His God. Charles graduated from Morrisville High School in 1952. After graduation, he and his Dad moved to Aldrich, Missouri, where he met his soulmate with love at first sight. Charles and Juanteece Taylor were married on July 12, 1956. On January 5, 1955, he left to serve in the Army stationed at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas; Fort Lewis, Washington; and Anchorage, Alaska, with an Honorable Discharge as Staff Sergeant E-5. On March 28, 1964, a son Kelly, was born. Charles owned and operated Charles Service Station for 27 years in Fair Play, Missouri. Later he was employed at Bill Grant Ford. He was a member of the Aldrich United Methodist Church and the Bolivar Masonic Lodge #195. He was preceded in death by his son, Kelly, parents Leonard and Madge, and in-laws Byron and Fern Taylor. He is survived by his loving soulmate Juanteece of the home sisters-in-law, Juanetta Taylor, Juanita Griffin and husband Terry, and JuanaVae Hopkins and husband Mike. 3 brothers-in-law, Davis Taylor and wife Jean; Reggie Taylor and wife Sue; and Lindsay Taylor and wife Diana. His special nieces and nephews, Kevin Combs, Jordan and Austin; Kent Combs and wife Robyn, Dylan, Drayson, Ashley, Allisa, and Anissa; Kim Combs and wife Paula, and Garret; Denna Garzee; Heather Harmon, Gracie, Gavin and Gabby; Heath Francka and wife Christy, McKenieze, Bryson and Justina; Dusty Garzee and wife Melanie, and Rowdy; Brad Taylor and wife Suzanne, Jacob, Bryson, and Kara; Rodney Taylor and wife Rebekah, Dalton and Kole; Tiffany Phillips and husband Sam, and Mason; Tara Domrose and husband Vince. Also survived by Teresa (Cossins) Jones, Stephanie and Ella Grace; and very special lifelong friends Nancy and Dave Propst. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 4th, at the Aldrich United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery officiated by Rev. Larry Summers. Visitation will be held Friday, February 3rd from 6-8 pm at Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar, with Masonic rites at 7:00 pm.
