Jennifer Sue Burrows

Jennifer Sue Burrows, 44, of Bolivar, Mo. passed away Wednesday, May 1 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield. Jennifer Sue Spear was born on September 20, 1968 to Gary and Pat (Miller) Spear in Parsons, KS. She graduated from Olathe South High School in 1986, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor s degree in elementary education in 2008 from Drury University in Springfield. Mrs. Burrows was a beloved pre-school teacher for the Bolivar school system since 1999, where she lovingly taught children much more than how to succeed in school. She attended Wellspring Baptist Fellowship in Bolivar. Jennifer married Geoff Burrows, February 18, 2000, in Bolivar. He survives of the home. She is also survived by two sons; Caleb Spindler and wife, Kayla, of Bolivar, and Jacob Spindler of the home; and one step-daughter, Jillian Burrows, of Springfield. Her parents; Patricia Miller-Spear, Bolivar, and Gary Spear and wife, Pat, Columbus, KS; two sisters and brothers-in-law Terri and Greg Burnsed, Sallisaw, OK, and Tricia and Mark Johnson, Steeleville, MO; two nieces, Claire Burnsed and Isabelle Johnson and one nephew, Drew Johnson; and many cousins, aunts and uncles, and countless extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alvin and Audrey Miller and Alfred and Thelma Spear. Jennifer s relationship with the Lord was of utmost importance to her, and she shared her love of Jesus freely with her family and friends. She and Geoff spent two weeks in Belarus with a mission team in 2004. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4th at the Bolivar High School auditorium with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar. A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday evening, May 3rd at Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bolivar Primary School for the Jennifer Burrows Memorial Pre-School Scholarship fund.
