Carol Ann McGregor

Carol Ann (Tindle) McGregor, 61, of Half Way, MO went to her heavenly home Thursday, April 30, 2020 after being involved in a motorcycle accident in rural Hickory County, MO. Carol Ann was the youngest of two daughters born to Jim and Patricia Jean Tindle of Half Way, MO. in Springfield, MO on April 21, 1959. Carol Ann attended the Half Way School System and later became a housewife, homemaker and raised three awesome sons. Later in life she became a homebuilder and a realtor for many years. Carol was a very strong Christian and attended Bolivar First Assembly Church for more than 35 years, she and Kent currently attend The Hill Church-Bolivar. Carol was beautiful, inside and out. She had the bubbling, caring, nurturing personality that everyone instantly fell in love with. Her love for the Lord always showed and she was a role model and mentor to many girls and ladies. Carol has led many bible studies and small group studies. She and her husband, Kent have been active in the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) for many years and Carol has served as the Bolivar chapter chaplain for the past two years. Carol and Kent are also active in the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR). Carol’s love for the lost and needy led her and Kent to help start Open Hands-Bolivar & Polk County Area Soup Kitchen last year, where they both serve on the Board of Directors and serve meals to those in need in our community. Carol’s love for the Lord is followed closely by her love for her husband, family and church. Talk to her more than a couple minutes and you will probably understand, by the twinkle in her eye and smile on her face, when she speaks of her grandbabies, her love for flowers and gardening as well as her passion for motorcycling with her husband and friends. Carol leaves to mourn her loving husband Kent, three sons, Jake Roberts, wife Rachel, their sons, Aiden & Cooper. Dusty Roberts, wife Morgan, their children, Dayton, Dax, Dalli Rae & Doc. Adam Roberts, wife Becca, their children Ainsley & Rhett. Stepchildren Crystal (McGregor) Douglass, husband Earl, their children Dennis & Eve. Dallas McGregor and Alyssa (McGregor) Howery, husband Chris and son Greyson. Carol also leaves behind a sister, Velva Jo (Tindle) Bower, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Patricia Tindle. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's honor to the Open Hands Soup Kitchen through the Butler Funeral Home or the Bank of Bolivar. Calling Hours* will be held Monday, May 4 from Noon-5:00 PM and Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Due to restrictions on crowd gatherings, the funeral service will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's honor to the Open Hands Soup Kitchen through the Butler Funeral Home or the Bank of Bolivar. ***Calling Hours are a new service instituted by Butler Funeral Home that allows the public to respect to Carol. During these hours, community members may come pay their respect to Carol and sign the book, although the family will not be present. Social distancing & gathering size limits will observed.***
